Probably isn't the place to post pre-game questions and stuff but I'm noticing something pretty big...

I don't see a way / skill to raise morale anymore? If this is the case morale is going to be even more important than it ever was or it might make the "loyalty" skill mandatory. Was this intentional or will morale shifts in battle not be as dramatic as I remember?

Read up on the new Morale rules. It does work quite differently now. Check out the first pregame battles for concrete examples. (I didn't start listing the turn-based morale changes until a few turns in.)

An Advisor is a special position within an army that influences the battle in subtle ways. Advisors can only use Ploys in battle. When putting your army together, if the Commandant of your city is taking the field, you may nominate an officer to join that unit as its Advisor. Advisors with the Tactician skill may share the use of some of their skills with the Commandant, and serve as the organizer of a Campaign. Advisors are able to take their own action in battle, taking their turn on their own calculated initiative.


Question: Can you assign an advisor IF AND ONLY IF the commandant (ruler) takes the field? Would a player be able to be an advisor for a regular officer if the leader didn't take the field?

The Commandant is the head of the city's military, not the ruler (though the ruler may choose to be a Commandant). Only a Commandant can take an advisor, not every random officer who takes the field, or there would be way too many advisors.

How much does an officers CHA affect the damage calculations in battle?
For instance if you have officer A & B:

Officer A 80-80-80-20-70

Officer B 80-80-80-20-20

how much damage will they do to each other with 50(100) basic units assuming we did a test where they each get one fresh shot at each other

Quick questions on sieges:

1. How is harvest/city income affected when there is a battle going? Or does the city still get full harvest/income when it's under siege?

2. Do fires in the city, pillaged villages etc affect city income/stockpiles/public safety?
