Bio:
Long live mediocrity! Huang Dong was a middle aged man.
He was born in a wealthy family, as the son of the third concubine. Along with his brothers, he spent his time studying literature, martial art and horsemanship. He was neither a talented genius, nor a waste. He was just right at that level, where none of his brother saw him as a competitor in inheriting their father's wealth and performed well enough that they didn't see him as the black sheep in the family.
After his father passed away and his eldest brother inherit his father's position, Huang Dong decided to live on his own. His eldest brother gladly bought a commission in the army for him.
He moved to Luoyang and served the army for twenty years or so, slowly promoted from the commander of 100 men to the commander of 1,500 men. He would easily ended his career as a general, if there wasn't a rebellion against the emperor.
He participated in few battles and as usual performed neither well nor bad. But, during one of the largest battle between the loyalist and the rebellion, the Commander in Chief, sent his unit as a bait. He almost lost his life in that battle and as soon as the day ended, he decided that it would be the right time to end his career in the army. He quietly left the encampment, returned home to take his saving and left the capital for good.
Some rumors said that he offended the wrong person, people with power. But since Huang Dong himself, didn't tell anyone about it, no one knew the real story.
