Sadly, no. His skills aren't updated with the battle draft, so all he has is Slow. >.>

Oh, well. It's essentially all riding on Lu Bu, then.

Hua Xiong has ruined everything.

What should happen is all remaining forces head back and fortify the entrance to the gate. :| This tactic is not going to give us victory but it may delay Alliance forces a turn or two which consumes more of their resources and buys Lu Bu time. All in all this battle is lost unless wear down our opponents resources. All efforts should be made for defending the gate.

Again... The problem is ZoC and if the units can even make it back. If they can't, the ideal tactic would be to kill off a unit before Xu Rong and Li Jue are down.

But it seems the majority opinion is to try and retreat back to the walls, so I guess that's how we roll.

Xu Rong
Duels: No
Movement: Head back to the walls, using Elude if enemy blocks with ZOC!
Attack:
1) Flank
2) Normal Attack

Li Jue
Duels: No
Movement: Head back to the walls, using Elude if enemy blocks with ZOC!
Attack:
1) Aid
2) Charge
3) Simultaneous Attack
4) Raid

Li Ru
Duels: No.
Movement: Hold position on walls.
Campaign: Endurance
Attack:
1) Aid
2) Siegeworks
3) Slow
4) Any other ploys usable with Jeer and Rumor, not listed in Battle Draft?

Guo Si
Duels: No.
Movement: Hold position on walls.
Formation: Anvil
Attack:
1) Volley (If two or more units)
2) Ranged Attack
3) Aid

Good?

There should be one more conditional modifier in there, I think, if we can't Elude past enemy ZoC: we should have a target that they should hit if they can't get past. The question is, who? Whoever it is, it needs to be someone that would block their movement back to the walls...so that once all the units in question dogpile on that one blocking their route, everyone can hopefully get back to the walls.

Does that make sense?

It's past time to retreat; Xu Rong and Li Jue should now be trying to die bravely and take as many with them as they can. Both should try to beat up Wu Anguo, just because he's the only unit they're gonna be able to do some reliable damage to. It's probably academic as their initiative is so low, but still.

Think I'll just not bother with any new tactics, Pang De will stick with his last set.

Lu Bu tactics query: he's down for Simultaneous Attacks right now. Do we want to do that, or see exactly how hilarious Lu Bu's Trample attack can be?

Now that I think on it, Trample would probably be better.

It's too late to edit the tactics for this phase, but next one I think we should have him do that, yeah.

So. As I see it: Lu Bu can take out Zhang He before too long. Guo Si and Wei Xu can likewise whittle down Gongsun Zan, and then we've got one of the leaders of the alliance out of the fight.

Problems are: Wang Jin, who is going to die, and Lu Bu's flanks. He has a huge unit so it's probably not too pressing, but it'll become a thing. Keeping him screened with other units is imperative - Wei Xu should fill the gap on Bu's flanks (and stand in front of the gate) if/when Wang Jin goes down. Lu Bu's initiative is also only middling, so any re-arrangement of the line is probably going to be a problem.

Thoughts?

Edit: Also, considering he's Lu Bu and all, when his unit gets down to a certain level (say 50 troops remaining?) it might be the best use of his talents to start duel-challenging worthy enemies. He's Lu Bu! I bet he could rattle through a few of them. Maybe.

Edit Edit: Also, why not get Li Ru to use Riot on some of these schmucks? It's a much more useful status effect for our situation (holding out, why do we want them even madder at us through Taunt).

Dong Zhuo's side seems pretty much covered. For his opposistion:

Lu Bu is powerful, but has low Intelligence. Cao Cao in particular can hit his unit with Wile-based ploys to weaken it. Zhang He should pull back whilst melee units attempt to surround Lu Bu and cut him off from his retreat through Hu Lao Gate (Thankfully there are no strength-when-surroudned rules so Sun Tzu's adage doesn't apply). Any officer who's in trouble should challenge Lu Bu- can't do any harm once their unit's almost destroyed.

Meanwhile, one or two other infantry units should cross through the mountains and head for Luo Yang. Dong Zhuo thus is put in a dilemna- force units to intercept (thus meaning Lu Bu can't be covered) or leave them be (in which case the Coalition can either start attacking Luo Yang or surround the enemy at Hu Lao Gate). The closest thing to a best-of-both worlds option is to send units back and fall back behind Hu Lao Gate, but even then the Coalition detachment can stay in the mountains and thus gain the advantage against the enemy.
Embarassingly enough, forgot my SoSZ password.

Wei Xu

Movement: Hold position.
Attack: Fight whoever is in range: priority Gongsun Zan.
1) Flank Attack
2) Normal Melee

Li Ru

Movement: Hold position on walls.

1) Aid unit in need of it, priority Lu Bu.
2) Riot on nearest, lowest-Int general's unit.

Guo Si

Movement: Hold position on walls.
Formation: Arrow
Attack:
1) If able to hit 2+ enemy units and no friendlies, Volley.
