huh so i heard volley now hits all friendly units too? also since range is 2,
if i volley on target 2nd square away, will it hit the 1st square adjacent unit too?
i understand the norm is no arrow attack for adjacent units...

also do camps and barricade remain on map permanently until destroy like roads and bridges
lastly is it correct to assume arrows cannot damage walls, gates, barricades..

Arrows can damage walls and gates just like if a unit attacks without a siege engine. The damage is significantly less and I would highly reccomend you not attempt to do so as a strategy for breaking into a city/town (it will take forever).
Oh well, back to the drawing board...

Hmm, my mistake. Looking over the rules again I see the ability for a unit without seige equipment to damage walls/gates has indeed been removed this version.

I really should refresh myself on these things before answering questions, its been so long since the drafts came out I'm bound to missremember or have forgotten things....

The rules on that subject are exactly the same as they have been. Normal melee attacks can be used against walls/gates, albeit to much less effect than using siege equipment.

I've been refreshing myself by going over these rules again, looks like someone forgot to include the terrain restrictions in the Construct Camp section. I know its silly to think someone could do it on water and a camp on top of a mountain is a little silly but still figured I should mention it.

simple question about volley, can i target an empty tile in range and expect area effect damage?

meaning my central target need not be a troop unit correct.. ?

That was ok in previous versions, though Aureal has been tweaking things so perhaps its going to change. Not sure so I suggest assuming it won't unless Aureal says it has.

Raid and Fire Raid do not specify whether or not they're usable in naval combat.
