New Layout Changes
Okay folks—I just spent a few hours going through the forum and making small aesthetic adjustments. I've fixed up borders, headers, colors (e.g. the colors when you move your cursor over those little page icons), and I've made numerous spacing and layout improvements. I've also fixed some layout and presentation bugs in Internet Explorer 6.

While I didn't do anything major just now, it is entirely possible I've introduced new bugs with my CSS—especially in older browsers. if you spot anything unusual or off, please post so I know about it.

Post Borders
In addition to the general updates above, I also added solid color borders to posts (next to profiles and above the signature) which match the alternating background colors. Is this something you noticed? Do you like it more or less than the previous white borders?

Brief little comment: I don't really like the colour of the notification that a post has been edited (example), it seems too... dull a brownish-grey in comparison to the other colours of the site. Maybe it's the grey text on that background that's making it appear kinda off to me, on second thought

Thanks for your feedback. It currently uses the same colors as a quote.

The background of the text, yes. The font colour, however... I'm pretty sure is a grey, as opposed to quotations, where it is black (or whatever the original is). I think, in my personal opinion, it might look better in black. Perhaps changing the colour of the quotation background to something more in line with the blue/purple/grey scheme we currently have might look good too.

The text is a variant of the burnt brownish yellow color used in quotation. It probably just appears gray because it is surrounded by a more neutral color. It was a new experiment I just tossed out and I do agree there should be a better way to present it. I can use pretty colors, of course, but I was trying to make the edit obvious for people who wanted to see it, but no so prevalent for people who were only interested in the content. I'll take another stab at it in a bit. Any suggestions from people are welcome.

Nope. But the change is very subtle (coz i dun kno it was changed -_-)
Yup, it suits very nice with the current theme.

About some links...
When I hover my mouse over at your sig's "Kongming’s Archives | Scholars of Shen Zhou"
It has makes a white highlight thingy. Kinda hurts in the eyes. Don't know for others. t.t

But when I put my mouse over at the posts subject link "Re: Feedback and Testing: SimRTK Site Theme v3"
It is normal and simple and doesn't do that white highlight flare lol.

Is that intended? Anyway, just pointing at some minor things that I can actually notice =P

That's just highlighting for in-post links. Been that way since the previous theme was rolled out. It is a little odd at first, but it helps to attract attention to links when they are moused over. I could probably fade the white a little bit.

This is more nitpicking than anything, but I've found a small fault on the search button up on the top right. It's overlapping the Adv. button. It disappears when I mouseover it, though (Screenshot.)

I'm running Windows Vista with IE8, on a 1440x900 resolution screen. Don't know if that helps, but just if you need to know.

That's very strange...

I can't install IE8 to test without losing the ability to test for other versions of IE.

Can anyone else confirm this problem in IE8?

I still see SimRTK Announcements - Game & Forum Issues as new post even if i already read lo~
I use gchrome, or is not compatible lo~? I have to log out to make it appear as read.. Minor lo~
