That would be the custom-theme style sheet failing to load, which has happened to me on a few occasions when the server has misbehaved. It is pretty much either a browser or server (most likely server) issue whenever it does happen.

I've done some tweaking to the menu bar and search fields. They should be displaying properly in Safari, Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, and Firefox (aside from the text being one pixel misaligned--I haven't fixed that yet in Firefox).

I can't test the browser in Internet Explorer 8, but I imagine the issue with the 'Adv.' search button creeping up has been fixed? If you've got Internet Explorer 8 please reload the page a few times to snatch the new stylesheet and let me know if you see any problems. :)

Well, I welcome feedback from anyone if they see a problem.

Haven't noticed anything weird or bad yet, and I use Firefox as my browser. Still the same old cool SimRTK site I've gotten used to.

Xiahou Meng will return for V6. Until then...

Yeah, the Adv. Search thing is still there. It's okay, though, since it only appears when you turn the Compatability View feature of IE8 off, and I always have CV on when viewing SimRTK, so no problems.

Elaborate for me? So are you saying that it is out of place when CV is *on*, or when it is off?
What is the default preference in IE 8? What happens when you toggle that setting?

I use IE8. With CV off, I get the Adv/Search issue and I also cannot see Chinese symbols (only the default squares). With CV on, both issues are resolved.

Thanks.

Wow... that means Microsoft *still* hasn't resolved some of their box model bugs in Internet Explorer 8. What's happening here is that I've used standards-compliant code for all the other browsers, and hacked code for Internet Explorer. I might have to give Internet Explorer its own stylesheet if I really want to fix this stuff...

What Chinese characters are you referring to? Characters like the ones in your signature?
