Can have several different meanings. One possibility using the proper surname would be mosquito larvae... seriously. Id need to know what characters you were using or what you intended for it to mean.

Honestly its the name I've been using for my character since I chose two "cool" sounding names when I was 10 and put them together to play ROTK 7. I've not idea as to anythin further than that and was only really asking due to being intrested.
V6 PRE-GAME

Can't do that from my phone maybe when I get onto my computer at home later I'll send you the characters.

Well, Yuan as a surname can mean larva mosquito or park just for starters. Xiang has a ton of different possible meanings ranging from the boring to the spectacular

I think you missed the second part of my request:

"But I need one for a given name. Kind of an odd request: can someone give me a name (and a corresponding character) that is genderless? That can be used interchangeably by both males and females? "

Not "Jin". The character I'm asking for is for my real V6 PC.

I am unsure of this myself. I know that some words have a male or female connotation, but that is about it for my knowledge on the subject.

Zhao, for the purpose of naming, the surname 華 Huá can be used correctly to mean "magnificent or splendid"
Of the remaining phrases, the one which would fit the naming conventions of the era, the name of 嬋 chán can be used to mean beautiful (the same character as Diao Chan's name)

華嬋 Huá Chán (Magnificent Beauty)
