RTK I-XI Discussion thread

I haven't played most of the RTK games, but I would like the next one if it comes out to have more scenarios occurring later in the era. I would enjoy playing as Du Yu sweeping through a weakened Wu, or participating in a scenario with some of the later Wei/Jin rebellions. If done right it might add some freshness to the series.

Seeing how koei included a Jin story line in Dynasty Warriors this will most likely appear in any new instalment...If we get any...Don't get your hopes up ^^;

I personally think is a good moment to throw a RTK XII , and include a very late cenario with Jin, like uhmm "JIN RISE" cenario.

Something wierd happened to me last night when I was playing RotK X. Scenario is 194, and I am playing a created ruler that started in Wan. I captured the free city to the south, and Liu Biao had invaded a few times, which I defended every time. By this time, Lu Bu had taken Pu Yang (I think it is?) and Cao Cao had taken it back. I get invaded by Liu Biao again, and have my starting city reinforce me there. After I successfully defend, I see that Cao Cao now has Xu Chang and Pu Yang... but I have Chen Liu, right in between them. My domain has no route to that city, and the city's prefect is Dong Cheng (who I never recruited) with no other officers. I look and find that Chen Liu even has one of the Qing Elite units, as well as two full Tiger units. What's even wierder, is that Cao Cao is not hostile towards me, and I was able to donate and ally with him, thus appointing another prefect.

I thought maybe the prefect in my other city got Dong Cheng to betray or something? Not even sure if Dong Cheng is usually one of Cao Cao's officers in that scenario... a glitch maybe?

Anyone else seen this kind of thing before?

In RTK II some enemies always try to attack one of my cities with 500 hundreds of soldiers, and always got beat by the only army in that city, 100 hundreds. Since then, I always employed the "strong man" strategy to collect more officers. Is it always effective? My ruler has a Lu Bu like stat in War and I had in my employ such men as Zhou Tai(87), Hua Xiong(92), Lei Tong(86), and Ling Cao(82).

Anyone from Singapore has an RTK X cd in good condition to pass on? You will be compensated. =)

If they everWhen they do finally come out with RTK 12 I expect it to be at least four discs for the console because they have spent the last however many years adding in so much content that they can only fit a couple scenarios on each disc. If it goes any other way, I will be a little disappointed.

Regardless, RTK VII ftw

It depends, after all that looks like just the battle portion so I wonder if the game will be more like 10 if the game will focus only on the battles.

Would rather have it more like XI than X. Found X to be my least favorite of the ones I played.
