I just got these and wanted to share.

Anyone else play the game?

It wouldn't let me post the pic. Something about not being able to verify the image size.

That is a very old set, right?

Released in July of '99.

These were special reprints that came out in the last few years with the Commander decks.

I think those are from Commander 2013. I currently run a Boros Burn deck in standard and am looking to build a Grant Arbiter EDH deck. If you manage to find originals from the Portal: Three Kingdoms set most of them are worth quite a lot...

My EDH is Hanna, Ship's Navigator.
In standard I prefer Selesnia or any Blue combination.
Unfortunately, I didn't hear about the RTK set until 2003.

A local card shop by me has tons of magic cards and they have a decent amount in great condition from the Portal Three Kingdoms series. My friend found them there and man i was excited, they are pretty awesome. She just picked me up about a dozen of them and 8 of them are originals in mint condition. I am going to go back within the month and grab more.

Got 2 of the 2013 foil commander series ones, Cao Cao and Sun Quan.
A Lu Xun from 2013 not certain what deck it is from.. :luxun:
The rest are mint condition random cards from the original series:
Wei Elite Companians, Wu Infantry, Council of Advisors, Wielding the Green Dragon, Young Wei Recruits, Wu Admiral, Wei Strike Force, Wei Scout.
Might have to hit up ebay too for some and hope i can win some inexpensive auctions. :)

The funny thing, the whole edition is surprisingly valid despite it being this weird spin-off for breaching the Asian market (if I am not mistaken). The reprints for the commander decks are a clear sign. Thinking of that, Lu Bu could be a decent commander...

I have discovered that Magic cards are more expensive in Japan via shopping in too many card shops despite not being interested at purchasing Japanese-language cards at all. The English cards do carry a discount but not enough vs. shipping online with a card seller.. </uselessinfo>

You should buy them from Taiwan. I went over there this past summer to teach English and there was this general goods store that was selling boosters from the Return to Ravnica block for 30 NTD (one USD).

Taiwan and China are completely unrelated as far as visas and stuffs are concerned.

If you do end up going let me know, I still have a lot family in Taichung/Tainan and would be glad to tell you all about some of the lesser-known attractions 8-)

I'm saying that Taiwan isn't usually classified as part of China so the travel ban shouldn't be a problem.
